Actor Arjun Kapoor says he has ticked dancing Bollywood style on the streets of New York off from his bucket list.
Arjun on Friday night took to Twitter, where he shared a photograph in which he is seen with co-star Shraddha Kapoor. They are seen dancing Bollywood style for their upcoming film “Half Girlfriend”, which is being shot in New York.
“One thing knocked off my bucket list, bringing the Bollywood song dance raita to Times Square!!! Shraddha Kapoor,” Arjun captioned the image.
Co-produced by Chetan Bhagat, “Half Girlfriend” is an adaptation of the author’s eponymous novel. Many of the film adaptations which were based on Chetan Bhagat’s books have been successful hits in Bollywood. Books like 3 Mistakes of my life, Kai Po Che, (the debut film of Sushant Singh Rajput), One Night at the call centre (Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer film Hello) had been popular when they had hit the theatres.
Superstar Aamir Khan starrer film 3 Idiots directed by Raj Kumar Hirani was partially inspired from Chetan Bhagat’s book 5 Point Someone. While the book was based on IIT and IITians, the film did not focus on any particular institution, rather it spoke on the struggles students face while they all go with the flow instead of following their dreams.
This is not the first time that Arjun, who will be seen playing the character of Madhav Jha, will be working in an adaptation. He has also starred in the movie 2 States, an adaptation of Bhagat’s book 2 States: The Story of My Marriage.
Mohit Suri’s directorial has been locked for release on May 19 next year.
