Anushka Sharma, after gaining applause for her role in Salman Khan-starrer Sultan, has now wrapped up filming for Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Karan’s upcoming venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) is Diwali release of the year. The role Anushka will be playing in the film is now revealed. She will be called Alizeh Khan in the movie. The movie has a powerful ensemble cast with names like Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan playing pivotal roles.
Anushka posted a certificate that she received by the chief assistant director of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress wrote: Hahahahaha this from team #aedilhaimushkil . Certified by the chief assistant director . With a thumb print and all . Legit stuff !! …: This goes in my CV 😂
On Thursday (August 3), Karan took to Twitter to share the wrap of his ‘darling’ Aushka, posing in a selfie with her. “Film wrap on my darling Anushka Sharma for our Diwali release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Absolutely loved working with her,” the filmmaker posted as a caption to the image.
Anushka also reacived goodbye gifts on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil set. She took to share the same saying: Film wrap for me on#aedilhaimushkil !! Was gifted this by @shaunagautam & @rishabhk24 the most amazing and hardworking & funny sweethearts on set . One present for each alphabet of my name in the film – ‘Alizeh’ 😻. So touched ☺️
The film also stars Imran Abbas, Lisa Haydon and Deepti Naval. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, co-produced by Fox Star India and Dharma Productions, is slated to release on October 28.

Recently, Karan’s eyes welled up when actor-friend Shah Rukh Khan praised the music of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “It is very kind of Shah Rukh Khan to say that. I am excited about it (film and music). Shah Rukh’s opinion matters to me the most. I was moved to tears when he said that, ” said the director.
There were reports that SRK saw the trailer of Karan’s film and was unhappy with it and asked Karan to make some alterations. However, SRK had denied seeing the trailer and had rather appreciated the songs.
