Anushka Sharma feels women are able to express themselves more freely now in the country. When asked what message does she have for women, Anushka told reporters here, “The way we are going right now, women are expressing themselves freely, how everybody is talking about working towards women empowerment, it is a very good time we are living in. “We all should work together towards making it a better country. When everyone is happy, women and kids are doing well in a country, you would be a successful economical nation,” she said.
The actor has had an amazing year professionally with both her films– Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil– becoming big hits. The actor said she is enjoying this phase of her life. “I am very happy. I got a lot of love this year with Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, I really feel very grateful. This phase is going on and I am enjoying it. I am very grateful that I am getting these opportunities to show different facets of me as an actor.
“It is not just that these films have been very successful but also that my characters were appreciated by the audience. This is a big thing for any actor,” she said. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor. The Karan Johar directorial did really well at the box-office, making Karan’s and Aish’s debut in the 100 crore bench-mark.
Presently, the actor has wrapped up the shoot of Imtiaz Ali directorial, The Ring. The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan. The Ring marks third project of Anushka- SRK. The film will release next year.
