Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has come out in support of Karan Johar, whose upcoming directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Fawad Khan, is facing trouble after cinema owners association decided to stall the release of movies starring Pakistani artistes.

Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) yesterday announced that they would not screen movies starring Pakistani artistes in the four states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa.

“The world must learn from us.. We solve all our problems by blaming it on movies and banning it.. #ADHM . With you on this @karanjohar,” Kashyap tweeted.

Johar’s movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. The decision taken by COEAI mainly covers single screen theatres and comes amid tension between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of Uri attack last month.

Johar tweeted, “See you at the cinemas on the 28th of this month! #AeDilKiDiwali”.

Many industry people including Om Puri, Shyam Benegal, Vikram Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt and Censor Board chief Pahalaj Nihalani have slammed the ban on the release of the film which have completed production.

Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala says the decision of cinema owners association to not allow screening of films with Pakistani artistes was unfortunate and he would request them to reconsider the move as that will result in losses for Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India yesterday announced that it won’t release movies starring actors from Pakistan, in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa. This has put an uncertainty on the release of “Ae Dil
Hai Mushkil” as it features Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan.

The movie, starring Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma is slated to hit theatres on October 28.

All the people in the film industry who today are champions of art and culture, are doing it purely for commercial interests. I bet you throw some money in front of them and they would be speaking a different script.

Are the cine hall owners banning karan johar production or pak artiste? Is pak artist the only one actor starring in the movie? Has Govt. of India banned the trading with pak? This shows vengeance towards karan johar and not fawad khan? One can stop taking stani artist henceforth but not to deal irrationally. Every Indian condemns uri attack but atleast we Indians should deal the matter rationally but not invthis manner. I would request the people behind these to reconsider their opinion.

These are the real culprits because they enjoy themselves to ociate with Hindu religion but they work in movies where Hindu gods/customs are produced in bad shape (also include Paresh Rawal "remember his acting in OH MY GOD?" and Akhay Kumar "a Canadian citizens may be that keep his income income tax free". We must be very vigilant and BJP/RSS/Bajrang Dal can not be real voice for Hindus "People has all the right to judge if someone humiliates one's religion and becomes a face for some party" and reject them.

Bhakts praise Sushma swaraj when she gives visa to girl, praises Modi when he go to eat Nawaz' birthday cake. Not opposing feku for not removing most favored nation to Pak. However, opposing a movie which was shot before Uri attack. Opposing this movie will only hurt Indians, as stani actors already got their money. If needed Govt should bring rule to not let any work in India in future.
