Akshay Kumar and director R Balki met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his official residence. The information and photo of the meeting with the two leading personalities was shared on the CM’s official Twitter handle.

“Renowned film actor Mr @akshaykumar & film director Mr R. Balki called on Chief Minister @ChouhanShivraj today at his official residence,” it read. What transpired in the meeting or its purpose was not yet officially known.  However, some media reports said that the Cheeni Kum helmer, for his next slice-of-life film, has roped in Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, who has been a regular in his projects. The filmmaker will begin shooting sometime next year.

 

Meanwhile, after wrapping up the huge launch event of Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, Akshay Kumar has gone back to the shoot of his next Bollywood venture, Toilet Ek Prem Katha. The actor, who is shooting in Mathura’s Nandgaon, has shared a video on his official Twitter account, taking us to the spot where the film is being shot. Before the video, the actor also shared a picture with a tweet that read, “And this is your Captain Mr. Kumar speaking…can you guess where are we heading.”

Toilet Ek Prem Katha is a social satire. The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, will see a couple tackling the menace of open defecation and aims to create a shift in mindsets in order to being about a social change in the country. Previously, a lot of advertisements under the government’s development plans have focussed on putting an end to open defecation in order to stop diseases from spreading.
