“It is only because of our soldiers that we are able to celebrate the festival of Diwali with our families. You keep us safe. My dear soldier brothers, wishing you a happy Diwali on behalf of me and the entire nation,” said Akshay. The actor also urged people to send their own special message to soldiers on the occasion of Diwali.

Salman took to Facebook and shared PM Modi’s message to the soldiers. “My hearty greetings to the army soldiers and young people of the country and Happy Diwali to all #Sandesh2Soldiers,” he wrote on Facebook.

Aamir also shared PM’s video message to soldiers on his Twitter account.

In the light of recent Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ban controversy, one saw Bollywood divided on the whole issue. While some actors spoke about it openly, others decided to stay away from the controversy giving people an opportunity to question their silence. But this simple message to soldiers might just silence all whirlwind of patriotic debate.
