It seems like Karan Johar’s film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is not going to take a sigh of relief till it finally gets released in the theatres. After fighting a long-running war against MNS for its release, the film is making news for the allegedly leaked Censor Board certificate which reveals all the cuts made in the film. Earlier it was claimed that there were no major cuts being made in the film as it is a family entertainer about love and friendship, and the occasion of Diwali when it is releasing, stands for the same. However, according to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, a picture of the film’s Censor Board certificate suggests that five cuts have been made to the film.
But what is it about these scenes that the CBFC had a problem with? Well, if you look at the picture a bit closely, you can clearly read what all has been chopped off from the film. To begin with, Anushka Sharma, who plays the character of Alizeh, has kissing scenes in the film, which have been reduced to 50% now. Adding to it, some of the dialogues have also been tweaked or made ‘sanskari’ according to the board. For instance, ‘Kiska Zyaada Hot Hai’ has been replaced as ‘Kaun Zyada Hot Hai?’, another dialogue ‘Saraswati Ko Dabao’ has been changed to ‘Saraswati Ko Chupao’ and lastly, the board has decided to delete a dialogue along with its visuals all together. The dialogue goes, ‘Umr Mein Badi aur experience mein bhi kamaal hai.’
Earlier, it was reported that only one scene from the film has been chopped off in which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor shared an intimate moment on screen. The never ending trouble for one of this year’s much-awaited film has only made it the flavour of the season. One of KJo’s fan aptly wrote to him, that the title of the film should be changed to ‘Ae Release Hai Mushkil’!
