Karan Johar is a happy man. His Ae Dil Hai Mushkil may have courted controversy but has firmly put everything behind to surge past the Rs 100-crore mark at the domestic box office. ADHM, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, has become Karan Johar’s first ever film to reach the milestone. The film, which released on October 28, has earned Rs 102.05 crore in India so far.

Expressing his happiness over the movie’s box office performance, Johar tweeted, “The century love!! Our love for you is far from #Ektarfa …. it’s completely mutual!!! #ADHM #ranbir @AnushkaSharma #AishwaryaRaiBachchan.”

ADHM also becomes Aishwarya’s first movie to cross the mark, while it’s Ranbir’s third film after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Barfi! to enter the coveted Rs 100-crore club. It’s been a great year for Anushka, as ADHM’s success comes just months after the stupendous performance of her Salman Khan-starrer Sultan.

The actor thanked the fans for making ADHM a huge success. “Your love didn’t make it mushkil at ALLLLL!! #ADHM crossed 100 crores! Thank you for making it a success. #infiniteloveforADHM,” Anushka tweeted.

ADHM holds the record for highest opening weekend collection for both Ranbir and Karan with earning Rs 41.05 crores. The film’s first week collection is the second highest after Sultan. The film has put up a consistent performance over the last 13 days despite competition from actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay and Hollywood’s superhero saga Doctor Strange.
