Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ all set to break Box Office records

Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani seem to have worked magic again on the Box Office as their recently released movie 'PK' is all set to break many records.

The dream team – Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani – seems to have worked its magic again on the Box Office as their recently released movie ‘PK’ is all set to break many records.

Firstly, ‘PK’ has garnered almost Rs 557 Cr worldwide within just two weeks of its release and is all set to cross the Rs 600 Cr mark. If it does so, it will be the first ever Bollywood film to do so.

Moreover, the performance of the movie in the domestic market has also been exemplary. Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the information on the collections. ‘PK’ has now collected more than Rs 293 Cr nationally and will soon cross Rs 300 Cr.

It will then become the first ever movie to do such business. This is Aamir Khan’s third movie, which is setting benchmarks pretty difficult for others to even touch. His earlier release with Rajkumar Hirani ‘3 Idiots’ was the first to cross Rs 200 Cr mark and ‘Ghajini’ with A Murugadoss the Rs 100 Cr mark, both nationally.

‘PK’ is also set to cross $ 10 mn in USA-Canada region.

Released on December 19, ‘PK’ ran into controversy when numerous Hindu religious groups accused the movie to be anti-Hindu and hence, demanded a ban on it; but seems the whole debate has only worked in its favour.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie features Anushka Sharma opposite Aamir Khan.
