He is an accomplished actor and a great star.

Amitabh Bachchan says his Thugs of Hindostan co-star Aamir Khan can be called a “great actor,” but not him. Bachchan and the 51-year-old superstar will be teaming up for the first time in the Yash Raj Films project.

“Aamir can be termed ‘great’, not me. I have enjoyed his performances and his films. He is an accomplished actor and a great star,” Bachchan told PTI when asked about the two great actors coming together.

The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of Dhoom 3 fame. Besides this, the 73-year-old actor is also doing the third instalment of Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar franchise. Sarkar 3 begins from where the last outing ended, while the character of Subhash Nagre (essayed by Bachchan) remains unchanged,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the announcement made by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, that his team (referring to home production Phantom Films) is planning to work with the “Piku” star, Bachchan said he is clueless about any such development.

“Anurag Kashyap..?? No, I have not heard of any such venture. We talked a lot during the time I worked with him in ‘Yudh’ and his short film, but nothing fructified,” he added.

Bachchan has an eventful year so far with his three films including Teen, Wazir and Pink getting released. The actor is also getting rave reviews for his performance in Pink. He also spoke about issues related to women across different platforms while promoting the film. His letter to his granddaughters was also praised.

However, Aamir Khan’s much-awaited movie Dangal is yet to release. The actor has reportedly shown the film to Shabana Azmi.

It is interesting to note that while Bachchan has shared the screen with other two Khans – Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum and Salman Khan in Baghban, Amitabh and Aamir have never starred in a film together.

Kind words of mutual appreciation are very encouraging. Quite common in movie industry. One can see humility pouring when Southern movie professionals meet /interact. With due respect "Is Humility the new awakening or a bankable strategy ?"

Five foot actor Amir Khan is a traitor. A mullah in disguise. He tells Hindus not to waste 20 rupees on milk offerings to Lord Shiva. What about cores on Haj wastage. Amithab this humility is uncalled for. Shame on appeasing Hindus.

Aamir is an actor who sees India as an intolerant country. Why praise such a man.

May be a good actor, but a jihadi in disguise. I wonder when Indians would wake up.

Stop using internet and give the money that to save from it to those poor children who are hungry. Also, destroy all mosques and use the bricks that you will get to make houses for home-less people.

No one wants that Haj subsidy. Actually it is forbidden to fund any portion of the Haj. So lets stop any Haj subsidy and any subsidy given for any religious programs in India. A lot of money will be saved.
