Actor Aamir Khan on Sunday said that if at all filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli were to make Mahabharata, then he would love to play Krishna or Karna. “I’m a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharata, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna,” Aamir told reporters here.
In the city to promote the Telugu-dubbed version of Dangal, he also said he wants to work with actor Pawan Kalyan. “I look forward to an opportunity to work with Pawan Kalyan, and I also like his brother Chiranjeevi’s work,” he said. Aamir Khan’s upcoming release, Dangal, will also release in Telugu and Tamil on December 23. The actor will be playing the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, an Indian wrestler. The film talks about women empowerment and stars debutant Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who play the characters of Mahavir’s daughters – Babita Phogat and Geeta Phogat.
The actors along with the director Nitesh Tiwari, have been extensively promoting the film. The trailer has got great reviews, so did the songs but it is to be seen if the film will break records of Salman Khan-starrer Sultan, which was also a sports drama film.
Talking about casting Aamir Khan for the role, Nitesh said, “When we started writing for this film, we didn’t keep any actor in mind. It doesn’t make any sense to write a film keeping any actor in mind because you get influenced and you write the script according to their strength and weaknesses. I wanted to be honest with my writing.”
