Over the week, we all are glued to our television sets to watch Bigg Boss 10, its controversies, its contestants, its budding relationships and its rivalries. But, by the end of the week, we eagerly wait for Salman Khan and his special episode, Weekend Ka Vaar. Now, there are two reasons to watch this special episode — one is, of course, Salman Khan and the other is his viewpoint on whatever has happened during the week. But this weekend has been disappointing and the reason is Salman Khan’s refusal to take a stand at all.

Enough happened during the week which left us all shocked and it has to do with Swami Om and his persistent sexist comments. To begin with, Swami Om, during the luxury task, called co-contestant Lokesh Kumari characterless. But while Salman reprimanded all contestants who have behaved inappropriately or got aggressive on the show, this terrible transgression went unnoticed.

Moving on, VJ Bani and Lopamudra Raut were given a luxury task during which Bani got very aggressive, broke the prop given by Bigg Boss and even tried to physically intimidate Lopa. Tasks are meant to get competitive and this was probably the first time we saw Bani’s Roadies mode on as she competed in the house. But violence inside the house is a big no-no and still Bani was spared from being questioned and also from the tag of being the ‘Khalnayak’ this week.

In fact, there wasn’t even a mention of the rules broken inside the house and Salman didn’t even reveal exactly why Gaurav Chopra was titled as Khalnayak this week. Adding to all of it, do you remember how Manveer Gurjar and Manoj Punjabi ganged up against Swami Om? Well, that didn’t come up for discussion either.

But why is Salman quiet? He has spoken out against such issues in the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss. We will really like to see the superstar taking a stand and give a wake-up call to all the contestants in the house. We hope that the next time he will come back with Weekend Ka Vaar, it will really be a ‘vaar’ and less of contestants’ se ‘pyaar’. Meanwhile, let’s see what happens in Bigg Boss season 10 in the upcoming weeks.
