The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Mains examination of the Indian Forest Services (IFS) recruitment process. Candidates can apply for the same on the UPSC’s official website. The online admit card will be available on the official website along with the detailed time table of the exam in October.
Start of DAF application: September 21, 2016
Last date of filing DAF application: October 6, 2016
IFS Mains 2016 exam date: November 12, 2016 onwards
Last date to pay the fee online: October 6, 2016 (till 6 pm only)
Last date to pay the fee through cash: October 5, 2016
The exam will be held at centres in Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla. In case you do not live in any of these cities, the exam centre will be allotted to a city closest to you.
Candidates should have the scanned copies of these documents ready before filing the form: Home State Declaration, age certificate, educational qualification certificates, SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate (if applicable), age concession certificate (if applicable), etc.
Candidates should note that documents regarding horoscopes, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, Service Records and the like will not be accepted.
The fee for the exam is Rs 200. Females, SC/ST/PH candidates do not have to pay this fee.
You can pay the fee using NET Banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore or through Visa, Master Credit, and Debit card facility.
If you want to pay the fee by cash, you have to take the printout of the pay-in-slip and submit the fee at the nearest SBI branch with the help of the pay-in slip. The link for the pay-in-slip will be deactivated after October 5, 2016.
Candidates can apply online for the UPSC IFS Mains exam 2016 only through the official website of the UPSC, upsc.gov.in. any other mode or method of application will not be accepted.
