The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has clarified that the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination 2016 recruitment notice is under process. In a notification published on the website, SSC has informed since they will be conducting the exam in computer-based examination mode, therefore, they are finalising the modalities. As soon they complete the necessary formalities, the Commission would upload the notice on their official website as well on its regional offices.
The CHSL exam dates were scheduled to be published on July 2, 2016. Thousands of candidates are eagerly waiting for the official notification and application forms. This year, SSC is likely to offer over 6000 vacancies.
The CHSL exam is held to shortlist candidates for the recruitment to various posts of postal assistants, sorting assistants, data entry operators DEO and LDC. The candidates who clear the preliminary and main examination are called for the interview round.
Educational qualification – The candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
Age limit – The minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 27 years as on August 1, 2016. Age relaxation is provided to certain categories.
About 20 lakh candidates are also awaiting the release of the Combined Higher Secondary Level results 2015. SSC had initially listed a tentative date (on July 22) to announce the results of CHSL 2015-2016 examination.
SSC had conducted the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2015 on November 1, 15, 22, and December 6, 2015 at various examination centers across the country.
Recently, the Commission has also withdrawn the results of CAPF/SI/AI re-examination that were declared on July 20 due to the ‘several discrepancies’found in the results.
