SSC CGL admit card 2016: The Staff Selection Commission has released the admit cards for Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2016 Tier 1. The candidates can log in to the official website — sscwr.net to download the call letter.
Earlier, the SSC CGLE exam was scheduled to be held on May 8 and 22. But was postponed and will now be conducted on August 27 to September 4, 2016 and from September 6, 2016 to September 11.
In 2013, about 12 lakh candidates took the CGLE. This number rose to 14 lakh in 2014 and stands at a whopping 17 lakh in 2015.
The examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:
Tier I — Written examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type). The exam has become computer based. There will be a time duration of 75 minutes in which 100 questions will have to be attempted.
These questions will be divided into four sections: quantitative aptitude, general intelligence and reasoning, English language and general knowledge.
There will be 25 questions of two marks each in all the four sections mentioned above. The time duration is aggregate — section-wise time limits are not applicable.
Incorrect answers will be penalised. About 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Tier II — Written examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier III — Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ document verification
(Tier-I examination is used for screening the candidates for appearing in Tier-II examination).
A new paper Paper IV (General Studies – Finance and Economics) has been included in Tier II. This Paper IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of assistant audit officer.
