The medium of instruction from elementary to higher levels in schools should be the mother tongue. Foreign languages should not be offered as an alternative to any Indian language at the school level. English should no longer be mandatory at any level. All research works must be linked to “national requirements” and projects that do not meet this condition should not get UGC scholarships. References that insult Indian culture, tradition, sects, thoughts, eminent personalities and offer wrong explanations must be removed from textbooks at all levels.

These are some of the recommendations that the RSS-affiliated Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas (SSUN) has made to the Ministry of Human Resource Development for the new education policy that is to be formulated soon.

The SSUN leaders have already met HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar with their list of suggestions. An October 14 email by an HRD official to the SSUN acknowledges that “suggestions given by you have been noted down. They will be discussed during the formation of the new education policy”.

Among the significant demands of the SSUN is the emphasis on Indian languages at all levels of education and gradual removal of English as a medium of instruction, both in private and government institutes. It has asked the government to “immediately provide facilities to introduce education in Indian languages in English-medium institutions like IIT, IIM and NIT”, and “take legal action” against schools that prevent students from speaking in their mother tongue.

On their meeting with Javadekar, SSUN founder and secretary Atul Kothari told The Indian Express: “He said we will certainly consider your suggestions. He also appreciated many suggestions.”

Kothari is a veteran RSS pracharak and an invitee member of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini. Veteran swayamsevak Deenanath Batra is another founder of the SSUN.

Modi is presumably from the RSS and therefore should be a man of good character. What happened to this man of character? Why can't he bring back black money? These men have two sets of character: one for elections, and the other for their friends who help them with their black money to win elections.Jai Hind!

What's wrong in being a Dalit? Don't get personal.Think before you accuse a person of being a Dalit. This is a casteist mentality.Have the decency of being a human being.Sanskrit will perpetuate the casteist atude.Get out of bing people.People like you spew venom when you open your mouth.Stop it.

Why not make Mohan Bhagwat the HRD Minister for 6 months to run the IITs with only Sanskrit being the medium of instruction in the IITs.And how many of them go on to do Higher studies abroad? Let's give these talented Sanskrit scholars a chance!!

RSS wants to put the clock behind by 50 years.Today the educational advancement and scientific research insutes are the results of the liberal- minded Nehruvian atude. What are the educational qualifications of Dinanath Batra,to suggest proposals in the field of education? Prakash Javadekar is a educated Minister,if he has some grey matter in his head he should consult educationists and members of the scientific community.RSS wants to produce a pack of donkeys and sheep, and one dimensional human beings.Of course it will benefit the crooked RSS and the corrupt politicians to keep the mes uneducated,so that people can not question them.

This is a good opportunity to correct false propaa inserted in text books by British and Communists. Pessimist Communist intelligentsia propaa spread through curriculum had only created losers who don't like or pride in anything Indian including its people. It will be a great move if government makes correctives changes to reflect Indianness through our curriculum.

English is an international language. Without a good knowledge of it you will not get a decent job. Knowing your mother tongue is excellent for your domestic / social work: prayers, house etc BUT it will not take you far in life. Do not get deceived as people in the Hindi belt were decieved in the 1960 s with Hindi. A w generation of people lost the plot then. Rss views are fine for Sunday morning activities omly
