RRB NTPC results 2016: The Railway Recruitment Board has declared the results of one of the most anticipated examinaton RRB NTPC 2016 results on the official website. Anil Kumar Saxena, Additional Director General (PR), Indian Railways, informed that about 54 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. “As many as three lakh candidates have passed the first stage of the exam,” said he.
When The Indian Express asked why did the Board took so long to release the results, Saxena said unlike bank PO exams, there are various categories and the number of applications were high. “We have 21 zones and each one has to prepare its own list keeping in mind the nine categories and various reservations. The Common second Stage Examination (CBT) for various posts of NTPC (Graduate) categories is likely to be held in January/ February, 2017. Thereafter, RRB of each zone will organise the third level of test (psychometric test or typing test) depending upon the category.
