Panjab University Student Council Monday held a protest against the Punjab state government for its alleged failure to provide adequate funds to the university.  The protest was triggered by a recent statement given by state Education Minister Diljit Singh Cheema in which he refused any financial aid to Panjab University during its financial crisis.  The council has urged the university authorities including Vice Chancellor Arun Kumar Grover to support the students in the protest.
