ICSI to organise International CS Olympiad in September

The initiative will help to brand the institute and help to educate the students about the career options in company secretaryship early

The Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) will organise an International CS Olympiad involving students of class 11 and 12 in September 2016.

“For the first time we are organising olympiad from the institute and it will be on lines of science olympiad in which 36,000 students are likely to apply. The first exam will be held in September 2016,” ICSI President Mamata Binani said.

She said some international schools will also participate in the meet.

The initiative will help to brand the institute and help to educate the students about the career options in company secretaryship early.

ICSI allows enrollment into the course after class 12.

Speaking about other initiatives for branding the institute, Binani said they have also joined hands with IIMs and universities to recognise the toppers.

Along with these, the institute was also opening study centers in smaller towns and cities to allow students to take classroom study for a greater connect and interactions, she said.
