IBPS recruitment 2016: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a notification inviting eligible candidates (CWE-V) for the posts of officers (scale I, II & III) and office assistants (multipurpose) posts in participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).
The recruitment exam will held in November/December across 209 cities. As many as 56 RRBs are offering 16,560 posts of Group ‘A’ Officers & Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (the number may vary with time) as per the notification and the final selection of the candidates would be on the basis of the rules laid down by the IBPS. The online applications for IBPS RRB recruitment 2016 will commence from September 14 till 30, 2016.
Officers Scale I: 5539 posts
Officers Scale II: 1999 posts (Generalist and Specialist)
Officers Scale III: 198 posts and
Officer Assistants (Multipurpose): 8,824 posts.
The Officers Scale II posts are further divided as
General Banking Officer: 1533 posts
Agriculture Officer: 152 posts
Marketing Officer: 75 posts
Treasury Manager: 19 posts
Law Officer: 55 posts
Chartered Accountant: 35 posts
Technology Officer: 130 posts
For Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years – Below 40 years, that is, the candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1976 and later than August 31, 1995 (both dates inclusive).
For Officer Scale- II: Above 21 years – Below 32 years, that is, candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1984 and later than August 31, 1995.
For Officer Scale- I- Above 18 years – Below 30 years, that is, candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1986 and later than August 31, 1998.
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years that is, candidates should have not been born earlier than September 2, 1988 and later than September 1, 1998.
— Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.
Note: You can only apply for only one post.
The general and SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs 600 and Rs 100 respectively.
Selection process: There will be preliminary and main online exam for candidates applying for Officers Scale-I and Office Assistants (multipurpose). After clearing the prelim followed by the main exams, the candidates applied for Office Assistant (multipurpose) exam would be provisionally allotted to a RRB. The candidates of Officers Scale-I would be required to clear the interview before their selection.
