DU Admissions 2016: The second list of the Delhi University (DU) is out. A lot of students have secured a seat for themselves at the varsity’s myriad courses.
While admissions formalities are thoroughly checked by university officials, there are a few mistakes candidates sometimes commit that can lead to the cancellation of their admission.
Once a student’s admission has been cancelled, he or she has to apply afresh to the university and follow all procedures from scratch.
Here is a list by which you can safe guard your admission and make sure you have followed all procedures lawfully:
1. The University of Delhi does not allow multiple admissions by a single candidate. This means that during one admission session, a student can get themselves admitted to only one UG course at only one college at a time. If you take admission in two colleges at once, your admission will be cancelled.
Furthermore, if you wish to take admission in another college, you need to cancel your admission first and then get yourselves admitted to the other college.
2. If a student submits fake/false mark-sheets or certificates for admission in any college of DU, his or her admission will be cancelled. If any college finds out you have submitted a fake document, that particular college will notify all other colleges of DU and you will not be able to take admission anywhere in Delhi University.
In addition to this, you will be banned from taking admission in any DU college for the next three years.
3. Your admission will also be cancelled if it is found that you are already admitted to the UG programme of another university. As per the UGC, an individual can study only one full time undergraduate programme at a time. If it is found that you are already a UG student in some other college or university, be it in any city, in India or abroad, your admission will be cancelled.
