IIM Lucknow will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT 2017) on November 26. Today is the last date to register for the entrance exam. Aspirants can go to the official website – iimcat.ac.in and get registered. CAT 2017 registration date was extended by the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (conducting body) to five days. As per a note on their website, “there will be no further extension.”
They have also mentioned that candidates who indicate their interest for IIM Indore PGP while applying for CAT 2017 will be considered for PGP (both Indore & Mumbai campus) of IIM Indore. Final selection will be as per the admission procedure for the respective programme.
Candidates have to visit the official website and get registered. They have to fill their educational details, exam centre preference etc. Then they have to pay the application fees. Remember to take the print out of the registration slip.
Selection process: Those who clear CAT 2017 and score well, their name and roll number will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting vary for each IIM.
The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Overall performance including CAT 2017 result is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may additionally use other factors like the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process.
