Extortion racket: Special Cell arrests 5 in Delhi

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested five persons for their alleged connection to a gang of impostors, who tried to extort money from businessmen by pretending to be officers of the Enforcement Directorate.

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested five persons for their alleged connection to a gang of impostors, who tried to extort money from businessmen by pretending to be officers of the Enforcement Directorate. Police are looking for three other suspects, said sources.

“Two of the arrested accused are from Kolkata. They were arrested on the basis of a complaint by Kamal Singh, assistant director in the ED, whose signature was forged by the impostors,” added the officer.
