Two aides of gangster Saraj Sandhu held

Sukhwinder Singh Raju and Sukhdev Singh, both native of district Tarn Taran, were arrested from Mohali in a case of loot involving a paddy-laden truck on November 6.

Rural police Tuesday arrested two aides of gangster Saraj Singh Sandhu alias Mintu, who is wanted for the murder of Hindu outfit leader Vipin Sharma. Those arrested are not wanted in the Vipin Sharma case, but police, sources said, were hoping to get information about Saraj’s whereabouts from them

Sukhwinder Singh Raju and Sukhdev Singh, both native of district Tarn Taran, were arrested from Mohali in a case of loot involving a paddy-laden truck on November 6. Both are close to Saraj Sandhu. On a tip-off, police raided a location in Mohali and arrested both. Police produced both gangsters at a local court on Tuesday and got two days remand.
