Sexual harassment case: GMSH-16 orders probe against staffer 

The GMSH-16 administration ordered a probe into a case wherein a contract employee allegedly sexually harassed a woman, an attendant of a patient, inside the hospital on Wednesday morning.

The GMSH-16 administration ordered a probe into a case wherein a contract employee allegedly sexually harassed a woman, an attendant of a patient, inside the hospital on Wednesday morning.

The accused has been identified as Anil Kumar, who was working as a sweeper in the hospital. The family of the victim alleged that the accused touched her while she was sleeping. “Police were called on the spot and the accused was handed over to them. The family members later submitted a formal complaint to the hospital authorities,” said an official. Medical superintendent, GMSH-16, Vandana Gupta said: “If he is found guilty, action will be taken against him. We are waiting for the inquiry report.”
