The Faraskhana police have solved a murder case within 12 hours of the crime. A gang of four men had on early hours of Wednesday allegedly killed a history-sheeter Omar Subhash Badhe (22). The incident took place near Burud Ali in Ganesh Peth.

Badhe’s brother Amit (30) lodged a complaint with the police. Investigation revealed that Badhe was murdered by Akshay Dashrath Akolkar (20) and his aides following a past dispute. A police team led by senior inspector Bhanupratap Barge launched a search operation.

Cops nabbed Akolkar along with Kunal Rawal (19),Tushar Bhagat (19) and Yogesh Dongre (20),all from Nana Peth,at Kanifnath temple neat Saswad. “The suspects had a past enmity with Badhe. We suspect that it was the reason behind the murder. Investigation is on to seize the weapon they used for murder,” said Barge.
