Sanjay Dutt’s four-week reprieve from his jail term may delay his eventual release. But the thought does not worry the makers of the Munnabhai series. Vinod Chopra Films had chalked out plans to make the third instalment of the series that revived Dutt’s career in 2003. For the job, they had even signed on filmmaker Subhash Kapoor as the screenwriter-director under Rajkumar Hirani’s guidance. Dutt’s impending jail term, however,is not derailing the plans. Kapoor, currently on a month-long break,is to begin work on the script upon his return. “The story and script are yet to be developed. Even if it’s completed before Sanjay’s release,we are willing to wait,” he said.

Waiting for the Heir

The baby isn’t here yet,but it has already been voted as the most influential celebrity child by an international magazine survey. The royal baby, the future child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — Prince William and Kate Middleton — is expected to arrive in July. With recent change in the succession laws allowing for a truly modern monarchy, this baby stands a chance at the throne. As media interest in the British royals skyrockets,Discovery Channel has put together a special documentary, titled Wills and Kate: Baby Fever. To be aired on Sunday at 8pm,the segment will look at how William and Kate will prepare their unsuspecting little one for the huge expectations placed upon its small shoulders.
