Two-wheeler rally marks Agrasen jayanti

The Maharaja Agrasen Youth Association,an organisation of youngsters from Agarwal community,organised a two-wheeler rally to mark Maharaj Agrasen’s 5136th jayanti.

The rally was inaugurated by Mayor Vaishali Bankar in the presence of corporators Manasi Deshpande and Sunil Kamble,Ishwarchanda Goyal,president of Agarwal Samaj,Pune,and Krishnakumar Goyal,vice-president,Maharashtra Agarwal Samaj. As many as 800 people from Agarwal community participated in the rally that comprised decorated chariot of Maharaja Agrasen. The rally started from Gangadham,Market Yard and passed through Dapodi,Bopodi,Kharalwadi,Pimpri,Chinchwad,Khadki and Yerawada before culminating at Vishrantwadi. “One of the major aims of the associations is to promote health and community services and contribute to social upliftment. With this objective,a multi-specialty hospital with diagnostic facilities at subsidised rates was launched,” stated a press release issued by the association.
