Two killed in mishap on Pune-Nashik highway

Three others were admitted to a private hospital. The truck driver has been arrested.

TWO persons were killed and three injured when a Omni car collided with a truck at Khed Ghat on Pune-Nashik highway early on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Anil Shinde, 22, and Shantaram Raghunath Shinde, 55, both resident of Landewadi in Ambegaon.
According to police, the Omni car was on its way to Pune when it collided head-on with the speeding truck. The impact was so severe that Shinde and Raghunath died on the spot.
Three others were admitted to a private hospital, they said.
The truck driver, Bhaktibhai Ramdas Prajapati, 54, a resident of Gujarat, has been arrested.
