Two held for sedating employer,robbing him of Rs 9 lakh

The Kondhwa police on Tuesday arrested two persons,reportedly including a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) activist from Kanpur,for allegedly robbing their employer of Rs 9 lakh after serving him a lunch laced with sedatives.

The suspects have been identified as Devsingh Jodhbali Balmik alias Ramkumar Yadav alias Ramji Yadav (45) and Gaurav Kanhiyalal Balmik (21),both residents of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The complaint was registered by Sachin Vilas Kadam (33),a businessmanfrom Sukhsagar Nagar.

Police said Kadam was into the business of providing housekeeping personnel and security guards to various organisations in the city. Some of his employees from Kanpur allegedly served him lunch laced with sedatives at their rented residence on August 16.

After Kadam lost his consciousness,the suspects allegedly fled with a bag carrying Rs 8.95 from his car.

Police said Devsingh alias Ramji Yadav is a BSP secretary in Nankari,Kanpur,and possesses two election cards in the name of Ramsingh Yadav and Devsingh Balmik.
