Two die of swine flu in Pune, toll rises to 113

A 45-year-old man from Kondhwa Khurd and a 20-year-old woman from Hadapsar died of swine flu infection.

Two more swine flu deaths were registered by health authorities Wednesday. A 45-year-old man from Kondhwa Khurd and a 20-year-old woman from Hadapsar died of swine flu infection.

The 45-year-old man had fever with cough from August 27 and had taken treatment on an OPD basis.

However, as his condition deteriorated he was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic on September 4. He died due to multiple organ failure on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old girl was initially treated at Noble hospital and then shifted to YCM hospital. She, however, died on September 13.

A total of 113 deaths due to swine flu have been recorded since January this year, of which 41 are from the PMC area.
