Three women robbed of gold chains

Bibwewadi Police are probing the case.

Three incidents of chain snatching were reported in the city from Saturday evening to Sunday morning in Bhosari,Kothrud and Bibwewadi. In the first incident Shakuntala Vijay Hotkar (54) of Bhosari,was robbed of her gold mangalsutra worth Rs 25,000 by two unidentified persons who approached her on a motorbike when she was on her way to a vegetable market at 7 pm on Saturday evening.

In the second case,a 72-year-old resident of Kothrud,Padmaja Kaulgi,was also robbed of her gold mangalsutra,worth Rs 1.75 lakh,by two persons who came on a motorbike. The incident took place at 8 am on Sunday near Shantiban Society. In the third case of robbery,65-year-old Laxmi Shripad Diwakar of Bibwewadi was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 75,000 by two more motorbike-borne persons at 9.15 am near her house. Bibwewadi Police are probing the case.
