Three labourers were killed and one critically injured Tuesday morning when part of the shuttering, the steel frame created for laying the slab, collapsed on the seventh floor of an under-construction building in Pune’s Sinhagad Road area.
As per the information given by Pune city police, the incident took place around 9.45 am, when a concrete slab was being laid for the seventh floor of the under-construction building of a real estate development company operating in Pune.
Pravin Mundhe, Deputy Commissioner of police (Zone 2) of Pune city police said, “The accident took place around 9.45 am when part of the centering (shuttering) of the slab being laid fell down. Three persons have died, and one is critical. All of them are from Jharkhand and their families are being contacted. An offence in this regard will be registered, after the primary inquiry.”
In July 2016, nine labourers were killed when the slab of an under construction building in Balewadi area in Pune had collapsed.
