Oakleaf,the newest restaurant in town,promises a gourmet spread of global cuisine at competitive prices

Its ambience seems suitably casual and the menu card classily engrossing. Pitching in the best of delicacies from the country and across the world,the multi-cuisine restaurant Oakleaf promises indulgence. Conceptualized as a part of the Oakwood Residence and designed for business and leisure travelers,Oakleaf caters to residents in its 84 apartments. The restaurant is also open for corporates in the city and functions 24 hours.

“For people who are away from home,this place takes utmost care to meet their preferences and our aim is to gratify all those who appreciate cuisines from different regions of the world. The restaurant mainly offers Indian,Continental,Oriental and Italian menus,” says Priya Nagrani,director,sales and marketing,Oakwood Residence.

Another speciality here is that the menu changes every three months. “It’s a complete change so that our guests have a new platter frequently. Besides,we have specialties like the curry of the day and menus which are created after a lot of discussions with our clientele. I also try to tone down on the original ingredients of a particular dish so that it suits the climatic conditions of this place and proves to be healthier,” adds executive chef Saurabh Anand.

With sections such as Large and Small Plates,From the Pizza Oven,Pasta Bar and so on,and dishes such as Korean style chicken steak,Thod Man Pla (a northern Thailand specialty),Andra Fish curry,Dal Panchmel (a spicy preparation of assorted lentils from Rajasthan),Oakleaf sure is a diner’s delight. The jalapeno burger here is classified as an Oakleaf institution (Rs 325),Japanese-style Fish Pouch (Rs 475) is a healthy meal and Caesar Salad (Rs.225) has parmesan shavings and garlic rusk. With a variety of kebabs,biryani and salads to choose,the restaurant also has plans to introduce a more extravagant menu in the days ahead.

Among the variety of desserts that guests can partake of,a few delicious ones are the Almond Apple Pie (Rs 250),Seasonal Fruit Rabri (Rs 225) and Kiwi Panakotta (Rs 325). Garnished skillfully and with a tempting aroma,the first look of Oakleaf indeed promises an array of eclectic cuisine and mouthwatering preparations.
