Teen killed over ‘affair’; 2 held

A teenage boy was killed following a dispute over a love affair on Sunday evening.

A teenage boy was killed following a dispute over a love affair on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Kiran Shahji Bhise (17) of Omkar Nagar in Bibvewadi.

Police arrested Anil Kiran Kudle (23) and Ganesh Walmiki Kamble (28),both residents of Bibvewadi area,in connection with the case.

Police said Bhise was an Arts stream student of Annasaheb Magar College in Hadapsar. He was in love with a girl from the same college who also was a resident of Bibvewadi.

Suspect Kudle had an affair with the girl earlier. This led to a dispute between Kudle and Bhise. The duo reportedly quarrelled many a times. As the dispute worsened,Kudle and Kamble,attacked Bhise with

sharp weapons around 4.30 pm on Sunday.

Bhise was admitted to a hospital. But he succumbed to injuries on Monday morning. Bhise’s mother Sulabha (35) lodged an offence of murder with the Bibvewadi police.

Assistant police inspector Sandip Jagtap is investigating the case.

Chakan: 25-year-old shot dead by friend; 3 arrested

Nitin Laxman Virlok (25) of Yeshwant Nagar,Talegaon Dhabhade was shot dead by his friend following a quarrel in Chakan area late on Sunday.

Both were under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested Akash Kisan Bhalerao (23) and two others on murder charges on Monday. Police said Nitin,Akash and other two were consuming liquor in a hutment near Hotel Atharva around 11 pm on Sunday.

There was a dispute between Nitin and Akash after which Akash fired at Nitin from his pistol. Investigation is on to know from where he procured the pistol and the exact reason behind the murder.
