A techie was robbed of his gold ornaments and an ATM card by two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths at Tathawade,Hinjewadi on Tuesday night.

A techie was robbed of his gold ornaments and an ATM card by two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths at Tathawade,Hinjewadi on Tuesday night.

The victim,Prabhakar Nagraj Mahavinahalali (30),a resident of Ganesh Nagar in Hinjewadi,lodged a complaint at Hinjewadi police station on Thursday.

Sub-inspector S N Shinde said that Prabhakar,who works as a techie with a reputed private company,was travelling on his bike when the two motorcycle-borne youths intercepted him around 9 pm at Tathawde. The suspect who was riding pillion got off the bike and asked Prabhakar to drop him a little ahead,to which he agreed.

After travelling for some distance,the suspect allegedly threatened Prabhakar and robbed him of his ATM card,gold chain and ring,worth Rs 43,000,and fled from the spot.
