As the robbers wanted more money, they blindfolded him and took him to an ATM at a location unknown to him. When they enquired his pin number, Patidar said that the bank account belonged to his wife.”
H e added, “The robbers then called up his wife using his cellphone. Claiming to be policemen, the robbers asked his wife to give the pin number of the ATM card. However, the wife was suspicious and gave the wrong pin number. When the robbers failed to withdraw money and the card got blocked, the robbers threatened to harm Patidar. However, they dumped him near Sinhagad college in Warje around 12 pm after snatching his cellphone.”
Police said that Patidar later managed to contact his family and filed an offence at Hinjewadi police station.
