SWaCH identifies 15 spots for nirmalya collection

Ahead of the Ganesh Festival,city-based SWaCH organisation has decided to deploy their representatives at 15 spots for nirmalya collection

Ahead of the Ganesh Festival,city-based SWaCH organisation has decided to deploy their representatives at 15 spots for nirmalya collection. The organisation has identified spots for collection in each wards. Last year,the organisation had help collect and recycle 90 tonnes of garbage. The organisation has urged people to come forward and help them with the collection. “It is extremely satisfying to be part of such a campaign. I will be there this year too,” said Shrenik Mutha,a volunteer from Fergusson College.

Rly to operate special trains to ease festive rush

Railway will operate special trains between Bandra Terminus and Velankanni to clear extra rush during the Velankanni festival. Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special will leave Bandra Terminus at 11.55 pm on Tuesday and will reach Pune next day at 7.20 am and arrive in Velankanni at 12.30 pm on August 29. Down train Velankanni – Bandra Terminus Special will leave Velankanni at 5.00 pm on August 29 and arrive at Pune station at 12.30 am and will reach Bandra Terminus at 7.35 am on August 31.
