Rudraksh,the fashion house,is showcasing Indias summer-wear collection by veteran and independent designers. The collection comprises of casuals,office wear and wedding wear created for summer. Keeping the heat in mind,the collection is dominated by shades of white and linen fabric. Among the designers involved in the collection are popular names such as Tarun Tahiliani,Ranna Gill,Krishna Mehta,Nachiket Barve,Pero by Aneeth Arora,Vaishali S,Shruti Sancheti,Nikasha,Nida Mahmood and Chhaya Mehrotra. Independent designers Gopi Vaid,Cecile D’Ascoli,Lila,Roshe and Isha are featuring their designs for the first time.
Colour for a Cause
Watermark,an exhibition and sale of paintings,organised by The O Hotel in Pune and Ray Art Foundation to raise funds for drought victims in Maharashtra,concluded recently. Featuring works of artists from different parts of the country,the exhibition encouraged Puneites to support the cause. Organisers intend to give half of the proceeds to the state government and the other half to an NGO that helps drought victims. Buva Shete,who exhibited at the show said,It only felt right to do this for the victims. Nithin Nangare,whose painting was also on sale,said,We need to play our part for the society .
World class cocktails made from an Indian brand of spirits and liqueurs were paired with delicious finger food at Terttulia,Koregaon Park this weekend as owner Imrun Sethi threw a party launching DesmondJi spirits,liqueurs and cocktail blends. Well-known food expert Karen Anand came up with innovative yet easy-to-make cocktails for the guests. The brand launched 100 per cent Agave,51 per cent Agave,margarita and blue margarita blend,orange liqueur made from the finest Nagpur oranges and a Blue Curacao which can be used in preparing fizzy fruity cakes,pastries and other confectionery. Among the citys whos who spotted at the party were Monika Trivedi,Diya Thakker,Maral Yoo and Anaida Parvaneh.
