The NDA Ball for Spring Term 2012 witnessed cadets along with their lady partners dancing gracefully to some live music on May 19. It took place in front of the lavishly decorated lawns of NDA cadets’ mess. The event was declared open as the NDA commandant Lt General Jatinder Singh set the ball rolling in keeping with the tradition across the stage. The ball,conducted for the passing out cadets’ in the last year of their training,aims at teaching the cadets’ how to interact with women outside and carry themselves in a social gatherings. The judges had a tough time shortlisting the final participants and the The three-hour show culminated with Mr NDA and NDA Queen pageant given to Squadron Cadet Captain Amodh Serrao and Sonali Banergee,who were rewarded with amazing prizes. The other performances during the event kept all the cadets’ energies going,while the couples were seen dancing and having a great time. Harjit Kaur -the first lady of NDA – inspired a lot of people there with her presence as she sat as one of the judges.

Summer Spirit

Till May 27,Inorbit Mall will host an interesting summer event. The participants will be afforded opportunities to flaunt their skills at various one minute games,treasure hunts and other activities. They can also be enrolled for free dance,and cooking workshops and story-telling classes during the 14 day duration. Each of these days will be based on different themes and the events held on that day will be planned around the theme. ‘Musical Mondays’,based on Salsa and Jive,and ‘Tasty Tuesdays’,during which the children can try out coolers and candies,will be two of them. Story-telling workshop happen on a ‘Witty Wednesday’,while ‘Terrific Thursday’ will feature various sports workshops. The children can play with colours on ‘Funky Fridays’ and try their hand at Balloon Sculpting and Magic tricks workshops on Saturday. One of the kids will be crowned ‘Inorbit Prince’ or ‘Inorbit Princess’ on Sunday.
