Zensar recorded a close win over ACI in the Inter-IT T20 cricket tournament played at the Shine High School ground. Batting first ACI scored 94 for the loss of all their wickets in 20 overs. Amit Jadhav was the star with the ball for Zensar as he picked up four wickets for 21 runs. In reply Zensar needed Uday Mulay’s 31 run knock to steer them home as Vaibhav Wagh’s three wicket burst threatened to spoil Zensar’s party. In the last match of the day,Mphasis beat 3DPLM by 18 runs. Mphasis who batted first scored 125 runs for the loss of all their wickets. Virendra P scored 34 runs for Mphasis while Pravin Desai chipped in with a handy 27. In reply,3DPLM could manage 107 for nine wickets in their 20 overs. Pradeep Shetty and Uday Pohore restricted the scoring by picking up a couple of wickets each.

Lions,Tigers book semi-final berth

PYC Lions(A) will take on Deccan Peshwas (C),while PYC Tigers (B) will clash with Deccan Chargers (A) in the semifinals of the second edition of the Shashi Vaidya Memorial Inter-club Tennis Tournament organised by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana. In the last league matches Deccan Peshwas edged out PYC Tigers 27-22. However,PYC Tigers made it to the last four with a better quotient rate,while Deccan Chargers thrashed Fergusson 33-13 to make it to the last four. PYC Lions had already made it to the semifinals last week.

Knights XI in goal glut

Knights XI feasted on Range Hills Milan scoring an 11-1 win in the super division championship of the Pune Football Tournament organized by Pune District Football Association (PDFA) at the Dobarwadi grounds in Hadapsar. Scorers for Knights XI were Hriday Shetty in the 8th min,Suraj Singh in the 15min,Liyakhat Khan 20m,Anupam Kamble 26m ,38m,52m,55m,Vignesh Kharade 42m,Vishal Kharat 58m and Vipul Nair 60m. Rangehills Young Boys scored a 2-0 win over Kirkeeians while UPSA played out a scoreless draw against Jolly Range Hills.

Pune FC face cramped schedule

Pune FC has a hectic schedule lined up as they enter the business end of the ongoing I-League in April,2013. Two incomplete matches,which include the Round-16 clash (v/s Mohun Bagan AC) and the Round-6 tie (v/s Air-India),have been slotted on 24th April and 28th April respectively as per the latest fixtures released by the the AIFF. Pune FC will thus play 5 matches in a 23-day period,which includes three away games in Goa,New Delhi and Kolkata. The last match for Pune FC this season will be a home game against Pailan Arrows on 11th May,2013.
