Celebrations galore
The Shivratna Construction Company celebrated completion of 25 years of its existence by organising an Anand Mela at Anandi Ganesh Lawns in Akluj recently. Attended by more than 3000 people,the Anand Mela saw the coming together of performances by dance troupes,comedians and singers. The affair proved to be massive in size and spirit,with the who’s who from the political and entertainment world making an appearance at the event. Among those present were Vijaysinh and Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil,Mohit Girme,Rishi Darda,Sanjay Kantaria,Suhas Mantri,Akshay Singhania,Milind Gunaji,Jackie Shroff,Aditya Panscholi,Jyoti Joshi and Vikram Bokey.

Rock for concern
Concern India Foundation,a non-profit,charitable trust,is hosting a rock show Rock for Concern as a fund raising event,on March 15 at 1 Lounge,Koregaon Park,5 pm onwards. For this show,five well known rock bands Infernal Wrath,Silver,Prayag,Abraxus and Beach Dogs will be performing together,for the first time in Pune. As rock culture is growing among the youngsters,this event would prove to be a major kick-start,as this being a new concept,which would be happening for the first time in Pune. Supported by1 Lounge,this is a fund raising initiative by Concern India Foundation for its support to various grass root level developmental activities. In order to create awareness about Concern India Foundation we are organising this youth based rock show. Getting these bands together will definitely make this event a mega hit,” says Malavika Gaur,branch head,Concern India Foundation,Pune.

Kiddie affair
It was a day filled with fun and frolic for young students of Starkids’ school as they celebrated their annual concert with parents,grandparents and other invitees. The children danced and swung to the tune of music,dressed in specially done-up costumes of plants,birds and animals. They enjoyed every bit of playing their small roles and so did the gathering,who were all in awe of these young kindergarten students aged between one-and-a-half to three years.
