A group of students Wednesday submitted a proposal to the State Eligibility Test (SET) claiming that at least 20 of the 75 questions of a Sociology examination paper by University of Pune (UoP) had a wrong answer key. The examination was conducted by the SET unit of UoP for Maharashtra and Goa region.

“Of 75 questions asked in the paper,at least 20 of the questions had a wrong answer key. We have verified with teachers and later submitted the proposal. The submission is part of the process where we have to submit suggestions/objections by April 15,” a student said.

The answer keys for Paper I,II and III SET examination are available on http://www.setexam.unipune.ac.in till April 15 till 6 pm.

The SET examination for the first time incorporated all objective-type questions.

When contacted, the co-ordinator SET Bhavan GS Chinchinikar said,” The key displayed on the website is interim. There is no need to panic. The final key would be declared in first week of May.”

“We are following the procedure of using answer-keys similar to the ones used in National Eligibility Test (NET) exams. Initially, the first key is declared, which is then open for all candidates to send their feedbacks, and later a final key is declared by experts. If there are any issues, the experts will take a call before the final key is declared,” he added.
