Underlining the need to develop and sustain successful healthcare models,Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) will conduct a two-day national seminar on hospitals,healthcare,medico-legal systems and clinical research from Friday.
As part of the event,a pre-conference symposium Successful Healthcare Models has been planned,and experts from the healthcare industry are expected to attend it,said Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar,director,SIHS.
The highlight of the seminar will be a talk on healthcare marketing and brand building and Dr B S Nagaonkar,assistant director,Health Services,Maharashtra,will throw light on the Public-Private Partnership model.
Dr Giridhar J Gyani,secretary general,QCI,will speak about quality and accreditation. Dr Vikram Chhatwal,director,Medi Assist,will talk about transforming healthcare with IT across various sectors. The topic,Legal Aspects of Healthcare,will be discussed by Dr Gopinath N Shenoy,medico-legal consultant.
Dr Sundeep Salvi,director,Chest Research Foundation will speak on research methodologies while Dr Vaman Khadilkar,paediatric and adolescent endocrinologist,Jehangir Hospital will talk about Medical Writing in Clinical Research. Lt Gen (Retd) Dr Madhawa Tutakne,advisor,medical projects,Symbiosis will chair the event. The valedictory ceremony will be attended by Dr Nata Menabde,WHO Representative to India,while Advocate Ram Jethmalani,former Union Law Minister,will be present.
