Seeds advance in ITF women’s championships

Top Indian seeds Natasha Palha, Pranjalla Yadlapalli and Eetee Maheta moved up to the second round.

It was an easy day for Seeds in the qualifying rounds as they moved into the second round of the singles qualifying round at the Pune ITF women’s championships, organised by NS Sports Academy and played the Deccan Gymkhana tennis courts.

Third seeded Nudnida Luangnam, sixth seeded Varunya  Wongteanchai of Thailand and seventh seeded Amina Anshba of Russia were the foreign entries to move up along with Indians fourth seeded Natasha Palha, fifth seeded Pranjala Yadlapalli and eighth seeded Eetee Maheta. Twelfth seeded Sharmada  Baluu overcame Lalita Devarakonda 6-4 6-1, whole fifteenth seeded Moulika Ram registered a 6-2,6-4 win over Aastha Dargude in the opening round matches.
