Removal of budgetary powers: Sena hints at ending Pune pattern

After the budgetary powers of standing committee chairman Shyam Deshpande had been removed,the Shiv Sena-NCP ties have turned sour with the Sena corporators not ready to relent.

After the budgetary powers of standing committee chairman Shyam Deshpande had been removed,the Shiv Sena-NCP ties have turned sour with the Sena corporators not ready to relent.

The Sena had held a meeting with the BJP corporators on who have expressed their solidarity with the Sena.

“Shiv Sena is firm on breaking all ties with the NCP,if the power is not returned to Deshpande from NCP’s Anil Bhosale.

An opinion will be sought from BJP and Sena leaders on whether the existing Pune Pattern should be continued or not,” said one of the members who attended the meeting.

Besides Deshpande,deputy mayor Chandrakant Mokate,Sena city unit chief Nana Wadekar,BJP corporators Vikas Mathkari,Dilip Umbarkar,Jyotsna Sardehpande were present for the meeting.
