RCP holds training program on plastic awareness

Rotary Club Pune-west (RCP) held a day-long ‘Plastic Awareness Training Program’ for NCC cadets. The camp was inaugurated by Camp Commander Lt. Col. Shashikant Jadhav at the NCC ground,near Balbharti. 418 cadets were trained at the event. RCP now plans to involve 50 schools in PMC and PCMC areas. More than 800 hundred students have already enrolled and collected 125 kg of plastic.

Some rly centres to operate partially

With Ganeshotsav beginning Monday,some railway reservation centres will operate partially. Reservation counters at Pune Cantonment,Shankarsheth Road,Ravivar Peth,Deccan Gymkhana and Khadki will remain closed in the second shift from 2 pm to 8 pm. All other reservation centres will remain open as usual.

Tempo driver injures constable

Wanawadi police have arrested a tempo driver and one more person for allegedly injuring a constable with Hadapsar traffic division. Constable Vaibhav Lonkar had asked Ranjit Rajpurohit and Mohan Rajpurohit of Undri,to move the tempo forward as it was obstructing traffic. Instead,Rajpurohit drove towards Lonkar and hit him.

Travel exhibition to conclude today

More than 150 exhibitors have put up their stalls at the Travel and Tourism Fair,which concludes Sunday. The three-day event is a one-stop shop for travel and tourism products and offers exceptional deals for travel enthusiasts and business travelers,an official release said.
