Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray will hold three campaign rallies in the city on Thursday. The rally will begin at 5 pm in Gokhalenagar followed by Raman Baug School grounds in Kasba Peth and conclude with Kothrud at 7 pm. Though the party is trying to sqeeze in a rally in Khadakwasla,the time had not been finalised yet.
Citizens are eager for a change and they see MNS as a strong option. We are sure we will win the Assembly polls and the first winner to be declared winner in Pune on the counting day will be from MNS, said Prakash Dhore,MNS city chief.
MNS candidate from Kasba Peth Ravindra Dhangekar released the party manifesto on Wednesday. The sitting MLA of Kasba Peth has failed to find a permanent solution to the tenant-owner disputes in old wadas. Traffic problems,drainage issues,drinking water,health and employment issues are also neglected. On top of our to-do list is to solve the tenant-owner disputes,ensure donation free admission in colleges and preference to sons of the soil for employment. Women empowerment through self help groups,leisure parks for elderly are also on cards, said Dhangekar.
Commenting on BJP candidate Girish Bapats claim of gaining 1.3 lakh votes from the constituency,Dhore said,Voters in Kasba Peth are well educated. They have seen what the sitting MLA has done for them and will not make the same mistake again.
