A union of petrol dealers in the city have threatened to protest in phases to draw attention to their demands for marginal increase in the dealers’ commission. The association pointed out at the poor increment in dealer margins, while suggesting changes in dealers’ commission formula as per its recommendations.
A statement issued by the Pune Petrol Dealers Association said the first phase will witness petrol pumps across the district will observing a 15-minute ‘blackout’ from 7-7.15 pm on 19 and 26 October. In the second phase, no purchases will be allowed on 3 and 4 November. If demands are still not met, we will not allow any purchase or sale in the third phase, they added.
