Pune Football Club to hold open trials

Club to scout for talent in under-15,13 and 10 age categories

Pune Football Club will conduct ‘Open’ trials for its Under-15,Under-13 and Under-10 teams for the forthcoming 2013-14 season at the Pune FC training pitches in Mamurdi on July 27 and 28.

The trials are open only for Pune residents,keeping in mind the need to develop and train talent from the city.

Beginning this year,Pune FC has introduced two new age groups in its acdemy – the Under-13 and Under-10 age-groups.

“It is essential that the local talent be honed and allowed a chance to graduate to the next level. We believe and hope that some day players from these ranks graduate and make the city proud in the sport,” said Ranjan Choudhary,Pune FC’s Head of Youth Development.

The cut-off date for players for various age-group trials is as follows:

Under-15: Born on or after after 1.1.1999:

Under-13: born on or after 1.1.2001:

Under-10: born on or after 1.1.2004

The trials on Saturday (July 27,2013) and Sunday (July 28,2013) have been slated for 2.00 pm. All players are requested to come with their football kit.

Players interested in attending trials need to report at Balewadi Sports Complex (Hostel Gate) at 1.00 pm sharp. Transportation will be provided by the club. Players intending to reach the venue directly can also do so.

All players attending any age-group ‘Pune FC Open Trials’ should carry along a proof of age document (a photocopy of either birth certificate,SSLC Certificate issued by the board of education or passport) and two passport size photographs.
